This Refund & Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) explains how refunds, cancellations, and billing issues are handled for Atma Vani (“Atma Vani”, “we”, “us”, “our”). It applies to purchases made on atmavani.life and within our related apps/features. By transacting with us, you agree to this Policy, our Terms of Use, and Privacy Policy.
Important: Atma Vani currently offers free access for most features. This Policy is future-ready for paid plans, add-ons (e.g., audio packs), and spiritual services (e.g., virtual pooja/donation facilitation) as they launch.
1) What you can purchase (present and upcoming)
- Digital subscriptions (monthly/annual) for premium features.
- One-time digital items (e.g., audio libraries, courses, knowledge packs).
- Spiritual services facilitated online (e.g., virtual pooja bookings, donations routed to temples/partners).
- Partner experiences (e.g., pilgrimages, events) sold or fulfilled by third parties.
Your payment confirmation/receipt will indicate the specific item, price, currency, and renewal (if any).
2) General refund principles
- We aim to be fair and transparent.
- Digital goods are usually non-refundable once accessed or downloaded.
- Subscriptions can be canceled anytime; refunds depend on timing (see §4).
- Temple/partner-fulfilled services may be subject to the partner’s policy; in many cases, once a ritual is scheduled/performed, it is non-refundable.
- We comply with applicable laws (e.g., Indian consumer laws). Where law requires a different outcome, we will follow the law.
3) One-time digital purchases (courses, audio, knowledge packs)
- Instant access = no refund: If content was delivered or accessed (streamed/downloaded), refunds are not provided.
- Accidental duplicate purchase: We will refund the duplicate upon verification.
- Failed delivery/technical issues: If you couldn’t access the item within 72 hours due to our system and we can’t fix it promptly, you may request a refund. Please contact us within 7 days of purchase .
4) Subscriptions (monthly/annual)
- Cancel anytime: You can cancel future billing anytime via your account (if available) or by contacting support.
- Billing cycles: Your subscription remains active until the end of your current paid period.
- Refunds:
- Renewals (accidental/forgotten): If you contact us within 7 days of auto-renewal and have not used premium features during the new cycle, we’ll generally offer a full refund for that renewal.
- Mid-cycle cancellations: We do not offer pro-rated refunds for the remainder of a billing period already in progress, unless required by law or explicitly stated in an offer.
- Trials/Intro offers: If you cancel before the trial ends, you won’t be charged. Charges after a trial start are typically non-refundable if premium access was used.
5) Spiritual services (virtual pooja, donations, partner-fulfilled)
- Scheduling & performance: Once a pooja/ritual is scheduled or performed, the fee is generally non-refundable (we often pre-commit resources & materials).
- Rescheduling: If permissible, we’ll help you reschedule subject to availability and partner rules.
- Donations/Offerings: Donations routed to temples/charities are non-refundable.
- Partner policies: For services fulfilled by partners (e.g., temple boards, travel providers), their refund/cancellation policy applies; we’ll facilitate communication but final decisions rest with the partner.
6) Technical issues & downtime
- If you experience service unavailability or critical bugs that prevent use of paid features, we will make reasonable efforts to restore access quickly.
- In cases of extended downtime directly attributable to us, we may offer service credit or extension of your subscription. Cash refunds are uncommon unless required by law.
7) Payment issues (declines, chargebacks, fraud)
- Billing disputes: Contact us first; most issues are solved quickly.
- Chargebacks: Filing a chargeback before contacting us may delay resolution. If a chargeback is raised, access to paid features may be paused pending investigation.
- Suspected fraud/abuse: We may refuse refunds and suspend accounts in cases of misuse (e.g., large consumption followed by a refund request).
8) Currencies, taxes, invoices
- Prices may vary by region and currency.
- Taxes (e.g., GST in India) may be added at checkout.
- GST invoices: Request via support; provide your legal name, address, and GSTIN (if applicable).
9) How to request a refund or cancel
Please email support@atmavani.life (or use in-app support when available) with:
- Full name and email used for purchase
- Order ID / transaction reference
- Purchase date and item (plan/add-on/service)
- Reason for refund/cancellation request
- Any relevant screenshots
Timelines:
- We generally respond within 2–3 business days.
- Approved refunds are processed within 7–10 business days to the original payment method (bank processing times vary).
10) Special/introductory campaigns
From time to time, we may run offers that carry specific refund terms (e.g., “7-day no-questions-asked”). Those terms will be clearly stated in the offer and will override conflicting parts of this Policy.
11) Data & account after cancellation
- Cancellation stops future billing.
- Your account may revert to the free tier at the end of the paid period.
- We may retain limited transactional and usage data as required by law, security, or for legitimate business purposes (see Privacy Policy).
12) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy periodically. We will post the revised version here with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated in-product or by email (if available).
