These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Atma Vani—the website atmavani.life, its web app, voice features, and any related content, products, or services (collectively, the “Services”). The Services are operated by Impact Digital Services Pvt. Ltd., India (“Atma Vani,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

2. What Atma Vani is (and isn’t)

Atma Vani is a voice-first AI guide focused on Sanatani wisdom. It enables voice and text interactions in English and Hindi to explore teachings, practices, and related experiences.

  • No professional advice: The Services provide informational and spiritual guidance only. We do not provide medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other professional advice. Always consult qualified professionals where appropriate.
  • No emergency use: Do not use the Services for emergencies or life-critical decisions.
  • Content variability: AI-generated outputs may be incomplete, outdated, or contain inaccuracies. You are responsible for evaluating outputs and using your judgment.

3. Eligibility & accounts

  • You must be 13+ (or the minimum age required by your local law) to use the Services.
  • If you create an account, keep your credentials confidential and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4. Your privacy and data use

  • Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard your information, including voice and text data.
  • Model improvement: As disclosed in our Privacy Policy, we may use your text inputs, voice recordings, and transcripts to help train and evaluate our AI models (directly and through trusted providers), subject to safeguards. Where required, we rely on your consent. You may request exclusion from future training as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • By using the Services, you consent to processing as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use & prohibited conduct

You agree not to, and will not enable others to:

  1. Misuse the Services: reverse engineer; scrap at scale; bypass security; probe or scan systems; introduce malware; overload or interfere with the Services.
  2. Unlawful/unsafe content: upload or request content that is illegal, defamatory, harassing, hateful, exploitative, violent, or that incites harm.
  3. Infringe rights: violate intellectual property or privacy rights of others; upload content you don’t have rights to share.
  4. Impersonation & deception: impersonate any person or entity; misrepresent affiliations; manipulate outputs to cause harm or spread misinformation.
  5. Automated abuse: use bots or automated queries to the Services without written permission.
  6. Data harvesting: collect personal data from other users without consent.
  7. Circumvent controls: remove attributions, rate limits, or usage restrictions.

We may investigate and take action (including suspension or termination) if we believe your use violates these Terms or applicable law.

6. User content & feedback

  • Your content: You retain ownership of content you submit (text, audio, images, etc.). You grant Atma Vani a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transcribe, analyze, reproduce, and display such content as necessary to provide and improve the Services (including safety and quality assurance), and as otherwise described in the Privacy Policy.
  • Feedback: If you provide feedback or suggestions, you grant us a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable license to use them without obligation to you.

7. AI outputs & third-party services

  • AI outputs: Outputs may be generated via third-party AI providers (e.g., large language models, speech-to-text / text-to-speech vendors). We cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or suitability of any output.
  • Third-party links: The Services may link to or integrate content, products, or services from third parties (e.g., temples, travel, donations, marketplaces, audio libraries). We are not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Use them at your own risk.

8. Voice features & permissions

Using voice features requires microphone permission. You are responsible for ensuring your device/browser allows mic access and for any charges or data usage from your network provider.

9. Beta features & roadmap

We may offer experimental or beta features (e.g., Atma Marg, Atma Sadhana, Atma Samvad, Vyakhya Vani, Vani Adhyayan, Panchang Vani, Astro Vani, Bhajan Vani, Vani Satsang). Such features are provided as-is, may change or be discontinued at any time, and may have additional terms or eligibility rules.

10. Payments, subscriptions & refunds (future-ready)

If we introduce paid plans, in-app purchases, or subscriptions:

  • You authorize us (and payment processors) to charge your selected payment method.
  • Prices, taxes, and billing cycles will be disclosed at checkout.
  • Unless stated otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until canceled.
  • Our Refund & Cancellation Policy (when published) will apply.

11. Intellectual property

  • The Services (including UI, branding, site design, templates, underlying code, and model prompts/configurations) are owned by Atma Vani or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
  • Except for the limited rights expressly granted to you in these Terms, we reserve all rights, title, and interest in and to the Services.

12. Termination & suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, pose a risk, or for operational reasons. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (e.g., IP, disclaimers, limitations, indemnity, governing law) will survive termination.

13. Disclaimers

THE SERVICES AND ALL CONTENT/OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR AVAILABILITY. YOUR USE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

14. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ATMA VANI AND ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND PARTNERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL; OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) INR 10,000.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Atma Vani and its affiliates, directors, officers, employees, and partners from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of the Services; (b) your content; (c) your violation of these Terms or applicable law; or (d) your infringement of any third-party rights.

16. Governing law & dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Subject to the arbitration clause below, courts in New Delhi, India shall have exclusive jurisdiction.

Arbitration (optional but recommended): Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Services shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996. The seat and venue of arbitration shall be New Delhi, India, language English, tribunal 1 arbitrator appointed mutually (or per applicable rules). Each party bears its own costs; tribunal fees as directed by the arbitrator.

17. Changes to the Services and Terms

We may modify the Services, and we may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated via in-product notice or email (if available). Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

18. Miscellaneous

  • Entire agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Services.
  • Severability: If any provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.
  • No waiver: Failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver.
  • Assignment: You may not assign rights or obligations without our prior written consent; we may assign as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or asset transfer.
  • Force majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures due to events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., acts of God, outages, strikes, war, pandemics).
  • Export: You must comply with applicable export control and sanctions laws.
